The Crew Mobility Restraint System is a safety feature for law enforcement and search & rescue operations by providing fall protection for highly mobile aircrew when working near open rotorcraft doors, such as in support of hoist operations. The System incorporates an 80-inch webbing assembly on a retractable, locking inertial reel. The System provides a range of operation across the full width of the rotorcraft sliding door, as well as access to the center of the cabin, without the tripping and entanglement hazard of a conventional harness strap.
NOTE: The Crew Mobility Restraint does not replace the standard occupant restraint system for takeoff and landing.
